WEBINAR  Doing our own thing - programming for older children

As children get older they can tend to outgrow their OSCAR programme. Some might become OSCAR “drop outs”.

This session will look at how programmes can grow and adapt to the older age group: what works/what doesn’t and the pros and cons of separating the older group. We will problem-solve some of the common stress points where older kids behave less helpfully and look at strategies to maintain a positive and respectful relationship with your seniors.

Topics include:

- How to differentiate in your programming for older children
- Activities that match the developmental level of older children
- Getting the right social and emotional climate
- Setting boundaries with older children
- The right staff with the right stuff

Cost: OSCN members $45-00 per person, ($120-00 per programme site - book as many as you like!)  Non-members $70-00 per person
