OSCAR Legal - An Overview of Legislation and Legal Liability

OSCN has spent more than thirty years supporting OSCAR services in their compliance with standards and legislation. This session offers useful tips for navigating some of the grey areas that OSCAR sits in and also a chance to get particular questions answered that may be 'on your mind'.

The legal framework for OSCAR is largely unchanged over the past decade so this session might be more suitable to owners/managers who are relatively new to the sector and would like to get up to speed with the basics of how NZ legislation applies to OSCAR services. We can't turn you into legal experts but this session should help you to be asking the 'right questions'.

Topics include:

• Liability for injury to children and duty of care

• Health and safety case studies of where 'things went wrong'

• Privacy and professional responsibilities

• What can we learn from employment misadventures?

• Unhappy parents - some do's and don'ts

• Insurance coverage: understanding what's in the box

Webinar cost: OSCN members $40-00 per person, ($110-00 per programme site - book as many as you like!)  Non-members $65-00 per person

No payment is required for initial registration or a booking enquiry. Confirmation and more details of the course are sent by email, once a booking has been made. We only charge for actual attendance at our courses.
