About this course
OSCAR safeguarding for managers, owners and senior staff
This course serves as either new or refresher learning on safeguarding and child protection. It explores all aspects of OSCAR safeguarding from an organisational perspective, for those who have a leadership role and who may have to respond to child safety concerns. It covers similar topics to the course we offer for on-the-floor staff, so as to promote a common understanding and consistent practices.
Topics
Recognising vulnerable children
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and impacts on development, health, and well-being
Different types of harm, categories and possible indicators of abuse
Disclosures and how to respond safely
Reporting, referring and recording concerns
Allegations against staff- Safe practices when working with children
Promoting a safeguarding culture in your programme and organisation
This course is only available as a webinar.
Cost: $55.00 per person for OSCN members ($50-00 per person if 3 or more people attending) $90.00 per person for non-members
